Born and bred in Cape Town, I disappeared for four years and I am currently back doing my Post Grad at UCT. Being a student and living in Cape Town turned out to be a little bit more tough than expected – club entrance fees cost more than my choice of alcohol at predrinks, and taxi’s (literally) take you for a ride. Having friends move to Cape Town from Durbs and Jozi and the likes, I felt like they needed to explore Cape Town and find the beauty of it; but since I had been away for so long, I felt as if I barely even remembered Cape Town. Battling to find cheap and fun things to do, and with it being a requirement in one of my courses to create a blog, Cape Town On A Shoestring was born.
The idea? Simple. Affordable activities to do around Cape Town any day/season/month/time.
I hope this site helps. Feel free to leave us a comment.
